Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 8 slices bacon, cooked until crispy
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 1 cup lettuce, shredded
  • 2 tomatoes, sliced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. 2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  3. 3. In a small bowl, mix together the Dijon mustard and honey to create the honey mustard glaze.
  4. 4. Grill the chicken breasts for 6-7 minutes on each side, until fully cooked. Brush the honey mustard glaze over the chicken during the last 2-3 minutes of cooking.
  5. 5. During the last minute of grilling, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each chicken breast to melt.
  6. 6. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes.
  7. 7. Assemble the sandwiches by placing a chicken breast on the bottom bun, topping with 2 slices of bacon, lettuce, and tomato. Add the top bun and secure with a toothpick if needed.
  8. 8. Serve with your favorite sides and enjoy!

Cooking Notes

  • You can also bake the chicken breasts in the oven at 375°F for 20-25 minutes if you prefer.
  • The honey mustard glaze can be adjusted to your taste, adding more honey for sweetness or more mustard for a tangier flavor.

Beer, Wine, Cocktail Pairings

  • Beer Pairing: A refreshing pale ale or amber ale would complement the smoky flavors of the bacon and the richness of the cheddar cheese.
  • Wine Pairing: A crisp Chardonnay or a fruity Pinot Noir would pair nicely with the sweetness of the honey mustard and the richness of the cheese.
  • Cocktail Pairing: A classic Moscow Mule with its ginger and lime flavors would be a delightful accompaniment to the savory and zesty notes of the chicken stack.
