Ingredients

  • 8 slices bread (white, whole wheat, or sourdough)
  • 8 slices cooked bacon
  • 8 ounces roasted turkey breast
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 2 large tomatoes, sliced
  • Mayonnaise
  • Mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Butter for toasting bread

Instructions

  1. 1. Lay out the slices of bread and spread a thin layer of mayonnaise on one side of each slice. Add a little mustard if desired.
  2. 2. Layer the turkey, bacon, lettuce, and tomato on four slices of bread and season with salt and pepper.
  3. 3. Place the remaining four slices of bread on top to create sandwiches.
  4. 4. In a skillet or griddle, melt a little butter over medium heat. Place the sandwiches in the skillet and cook until the bread is golden brown and crispy and the filling is heated through, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  5. 5. Remove the sandwiches from the skillet and let them cool for a minute before slicing in half.
